About San Antonio

Hotel Accommodations
The Grand Hyatt San Antonio is the headquarters and preferred hotel for MAC 2009. The hotel is located at 600 E. Market Street, San Antonio, TX, 78205. A discounted room rate of $159 single/double is available for MAC attendees. This rate is offered on a space available basis only through April 27, 2009, so it is strongly recommended that you make your reservations as soon as possible. To make your reservation, call the hotel at (800) 233-1234. Be sure to mention you are attending the MAC 2009 Conference to receive the reduced rate.

Transportation
The San Antonio International Airport provides convenient access for attendees, meaning less time for travel and more for the meeting. The Grand Hyatt San Antonio is located approximately 10 miles or 15 minutes from the airport.
What to Wear
Dress for MAC 2009 is business casual, although the awards ceremony on Thursday, May 28, is black tie optional. The weather in San Antonio in May is usually mild. Name badges must be worn during all conference events, with the exception of the annual awards ceremony/banquet.
Deadlines & Fees
Full conference registration fees include all sessions on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, as well as continental breakfast, lunch, coffee and refreshment breaks. The welcome reception on Wednesday evening and the awards banquet on Thursday evening are also included in the full registration fee. Fees are $550 for MAC members and $750 for non-members. Cancellations must be made in writing by April 22, 2009 and are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations received after April 22, 2009 are not eligible for refunds; however, the credit union may send a substitute (advance notice in writing with the substitute’s name is appreciated).
One-Day "MAC" Passes
Looking for high-quality marketing education in your backyard? Haven't included the MAC conference in your 2009 marketing budget? Can't afford three days out of the office? Then MAC has the solution for you! Come participate for one day (either Wednesday, May 27 or Thursday, May 28) by purchasing a MAC pass. These one-day passes (including lunch and handouts) are available at $200 for members and $300 for non-members. The single day registration fee for Thursday does not include admission to the banquet.
Arrival
MAC’s Annual Conference is 2-1/2 days in length starting at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 27th, and concluding at 12:30 pm on Friday, May 29th. Participants should plan to arrive in San Antonio, TX on Tuesday, May 26th, to be present for the Keynote Presentation Wednesday morning at 10:00 am. For First-Time attendees, please note that there is a special First-Time Attendee Reception that will be held Tuesday, May 26th, from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, so please arrange your travel accordingly.
2009 Awards Competition
Each year, during the MAC Annual Conference, marketers have the opportunity to compete for the coveted MAC marketing awards. MAC award winners are selected by a panel of judges with extensive backgrounds in credit unions and marketing. Results, production quality and creative design are considered in the selection process. Entries received by March 2, 2009, are eligible for a 15% discount. The final deadline for entries is March 28, 2009. Winners will be announced on Thursday, May 28, during the Annual Conference’s Awards Banquet.
