DEAN DECARLO

I’m Dean DeCarlo, President of Mission Disrupt, where we help credit unions improve member acquisition, through performance marketing and compete more effectively.

Through my work with credit unions across the country, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the role they play in their communities and the challenges their marketing teams face. My experience outside the credit union space also gives me insight into the strategies and tactics used by some of today’s fastest-growing brands, which I translate into practical ideas for credit union marketers.

I’m passionate about education and creating opportunities for marketers to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and put new strategies into practice. As an Associate Board Member, I would be ready to roll up my sleeves and contribute wherever needed, with particular enthusiasm for programming and educational content. I would draw on my experience teaching best practices and trends at conferences and associations nationwide.

Serving the credit union movement has never been just my career, it has been my calling. Every role I’ve held, from leading inside a credit union to partnering with credit unions across the country, has strengthened my belief that our movement is unlike any other. We exist to put people first, strengthen communities, and improve financial lives, and I am honored to be part of that mission.

Marketing brings that mission to life by building trust, telling authentic stories, and connecting members with opportunities that make a meaningful difference. If selected to serve on the MAC Board, I will bring passion, collaboration, fresh ideas, and a servant’s heart. I want to help cultivate the next generation of credit union marketers, champion innovation, and strengthen the movement we all believe in.

The credit union movement has given me so much throughout my career. Serving on the MAC Board would be my opportunity to give back to the community that has shaped me.

I would be honored to serve as an Associate Member of the MAC Board. Throughout my career, I've built my reputation on rolling up my sleeves and helping organizations grow—not just through strategy, but through active service. I've served as a board chair, officer, committee member, and volunteer for numerous professional organizations, which has given me a deep appreciation for the commitment required to help an association thrive.

Professionally, I lead Evok Credit Union Marketing, where we've partnered with credit unions across the country on branding, member growth, strategic planning, and integrated marketing. Beyond our credit union expertise, I've helped support major conferences, trade shows, and association initiatives, giving me practical experience in sponsorships, event marketing, communications, member engagement, and organizational growth.

While I would serve as an individual board member, I also bring the collective experience and resources of a full-service marketing agency that is passionate about supporting the credit union movement. I would welcome the opportunity to contribute my time, energy, and expertise to help MAC continue to grow and serve its members.

MAC has become one of the professional communities I value most, and I would be honored to serve on the Advisory Board. Through my involvement as a MAC Ambassador, I've enjoyed helping to brainstorm events and new ideas to enhance member and vendor experience. It's been incredibly rewarding to hear that my creativity and fresh perspective have made a positive impact, and it has inspired me to become even more involved. As the marketing lead for Rivel Banking Research, I also have the opportunity to work closely with credit union marketers across the country, giving me insight into the challenges they're facing and the ideas that are resonating. I would bring creativity, collaboration, and a genuine passion for supporting this community, while continuing to contribute new ideas that help MAC grow and provide even greater value to its members.
